Make sure you remove the "poker", that holds the tar trap in.

On a solid surface, Place your Proto Pipe on the wooden pipe holder so that the trap is centered over the 9/16" hole.

Place the poker into the center hole of the bowl.

Using hammer or similar item, tap the Poker until it is out.

Print Proto Pipe Cleaning Instructions and clean your pipe.  Turn Pipe upside down with lid closed and screw in small hole.  Start the trap by hand with the 2 dots aligned.  Use the wooden part of the hammer, or similar item to replace the tar trap to prevent denting it.

I suggest using a small amount of Vaseline (or if its leaking see below)  to lubricate the trap before re-install for future removal and cleaning.
